Research Interests

I am interested in tribology and surface interface analysis on the solid lubrication and liquid lubrication.

Currently my researches focus on:

1)      The preparation and tribological properties of metal (W, Cr, Ti) doped Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) and sulfide solid lubrication film.

2)      The nanocrystal surface modified treatment on Ferrous and Non-ferrous (Ti, Al, Mg) alloys, and their tribological behaviors under ambient and vacuum conditions.

3)      The preparation of a ultra high hard Polycrystal Diamond (PCD) composite material by High Temperature and High Pressure (HTHP), and the application of this novel PCD in drilling bits, and its tribological behaviors under extreme conditions.

4)      The tribological compatibility between solid material surfaces (H-DLC, W-DLC, Cr-DLC, Ti-DLC, N ions implanted steel, Nanocrystal surface modified steel, Nitrided steel, Sulfurized steel) and lubricant additives (ZDDP, MoDTC, BN, Organic-W, Organic-Mo).

These researches are supported by the National Science Foundation of China (51005218, 51275494), the Beijing Natural Science Foundation (3132023), the Program for Key International Science and Technology Cooperation Project of China and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities.
