CURF Research Expo witnessed Jacob’s impressive poster presentation

Jacob Goell, an undergraduate who made valuable contributions to our lab’s research over the summer, delivered an exceptional poster presentation at CURF’s 2023 Fall Research Expo held in Houston Hall on Monday, September 18th. Employing a combination of atomic force microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and optical microscopy, Jacob conducted an in-depth investigation into the tribological and mechanical properties of graphene auto-kirigami, a self-assembled folding structure derived from graphene. This research was mainly conducted under the co-supervision of Dr. Carpick and his PhD student, Li Yuan.
